What to wear in the rainforest!

I live in Central Florida and originally from St. Croix so I definitely know about the humidity!


First I would focus on very light makeup with simple styles in case you sweat some of it off, waterproof mascara, and primer, etc to make the makeup last long. For hairstyles, focus on updos/ponytails with all of the hair away from your face to keep you cool and if you sweat, won't stick to your face.
Keep layers to a minimum, 2 max. And wear light fabrics like chiffon. Stay away from any dresses that cling to your skin. There's also the likely chance for mosquitoes, gnats, etc in that environment so I would not put on any perfumes or scented lotion to not attract any bugs and wear bug spray. Lastly for shoes, sneakers seem like the best option for you.
It also depends on the time of the year! Usually December to January is guaranteed to not be too humid. The surrounding months are a toss up and the spring/summer months will definitely be hot/humid. Also, since your ceremony is in the forest, the trees should block out the sun providing some relief in the shade!

We are also getting married in Puerto Rico, but on the beach in July. We visited in October of last year and it was CRAZY humid! Walked outside and my glasses instantly fogged up every time lol. I have naturally curly hair and will be wearing it natural in a semi-updo. My hair stylist recommended updos/half up-half down for myself and my wedding party. I haven't been advised on makeup yet and I'm not wearing shoes during the ceremony, but I definitely would if I were in the rainforest!

I went to El Yunque rain forest in Puerto Rico during spring break a few years ago it was late march early April. Absolutely gorgeous! I suggest wearing sneakers Kate spade has a bridal line with keds. I d keep your hair in an updo and keep your make up light with waterproof mascara and a good setting spray. Definitely have some blotting papers and powder for touchups throughout the day. I wasn't getting married so just had on some light colored capris and a white tank top and was loaded up with sunscreen and bug spray. I d keep your dress simple and light. No heavy materials or lots of beading. Enjoy your special day!
