What to wear for engagement photos!??

My fiance and i just had our pictures done. He wore nice jeans, cowboy boots and a black sweater (we live in PA.. its 40 degrees right now) and i wore a black, tan & cream dress with boots & boot socks. I changed into jeans, blue & black plaid flannel and grey vest half way through.. he stayed in same outfit as it matched both mine. By me changing, it changed from nicer outfits to more casual pictures. I saw some previews and they came out great.

Like everything leading up to your wedding it's giving guests an idea of what to expect. We were thinking beach wedding and therefore beach engagement photos. Now that we're more settled on a barn, though, we're thinking rustic. If we were using a hall, country club or attempting something more formal we'd probably go to one of the local gardens. I'm sorry. I got off topic there. Single color, not necessarily matching but no prints and as dressy or casual as suits your wedding. (That's not etiquette or anything, just an opinion on being cohesive.)

Or theme is slightly more rustic but we wanted our pictures to also reflect us. I wore a white lace dress and FH wore jeans, boots and a Forrest green button up. We took photos in a park/trail like place and we also took photos downtown in the city we met and fell in love. They both reflect our personality and the way we dress and the type of wedding we will have. I think if you can coordinate outfits well then that speaks volumes. These are engagement pics after all not just random couples photos. We opted to dress up a little more than the casual photos here show just because we already have some photos of us in regular clothes from before we got engaged. My friend took her pics in a tulle skirt and he wore a tux and their pics were taken at the hotel they are getting married at, they are gorgeous. I'd say, you're getting married if you're using these for STDs I'd go just a little more dressy than usual or more towards your theme. But No matter what as long as you're comfortable that's all that matters!

We took our engagement pictures on Sunday and my FH wore a white button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up, navy pants, brown shoes and a brown belt to match. I wore a lacy white dress with brown boots. Hope this helps!

Can you do an outfit change? Maybe do one casual outfit and one more formal?

We did one casual and one nice outfit. The casual one we wore Ravens jerseys and jeans. For the nice outfit he wore a black and white button down with jeans and I wore a black dress with a mint green cardigan. We didn't want to be too matchy (except for the jerseys), just have the colors complement each other. I stressed about this for hours the night before our shoot lol

I hear you and havibg the same predicament.. Im thinking go with what is related to the wedding date.

My day

is next November so I assume I should stick with Fallish so no jacket - oversized sweater and jeans and freeze for a moment.
