What to pack for Vegas!?

Margaret, on September 1, 2011 at 7:18 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 25

If any of you have been to Vegas for your honeymoon or any other vacation what should I pack? I always over-pack and I'm trying to avoid that this time! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Its HOT right now so i suggest shorts/tanks/tees! are you planning on going out to any clubs at night? almost all have pretty strict dress codes.. if youre planning on gambling, the casinos keep it pretty chilly so bring a light jacket (you will want it indoors even tho its 100+ outside)

@ jennifer H. I'd add one or two party dresses and heels just in case you want to hit the nightclubs :-)

    I <3 vegas

I've never been, but am planning my wedding there and ran across this article that I liked:

And of course what everyone else says Smiley smile

I was just there last year and I loved it there! Lol there are like no rules--people walk around with drinks in their hands, bars/liqour store close at like 4/ 5 in the morning. Less clothing is better Smiley winking as in bring lots of tank tops, shorts, dresses etc. Also redbull haha, I live on the East Coast and between the 3hr time difference AND how everything starts later--- me and my husband HAD to nap EVERYDAY!!! Have an awesome trip Smiley smile

Hey I just got married there! It is hot but if you are from the south it is a different heat! There is no humity which i loved, which meant my makeup stayed better and no bad hair days! I packed tanks, shorts, casual dresses, a romper, and club dresses! And also a swim suit, we never got to the pool(we are there for a short time). Have a blast it is amazing and so much funny! We are along trying to figure out when we get to go back, lucky for us my parents are moving there! Enjoy!

Just got back from a week with my FH! Recommend purchasing a PowerPass while you are out there. We purchase a 3 day pass fior $79 and got into TONS of places for free. We got into the Stratosphere, rode one of the rides, hit the Eiffel Tower, Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, Gameworks, Mob Experience, go carts, NYNY casino and rollercoaster and a lot more for free. We also got $10 off merchandise from Planet Hollywood everyday we had the card activated. And definitely take advantage of the free fountains at the Bellagio. SO beautiful. Waiting to upload pictures as soon as my FH finds my software CD -_-.!!

As for what to pack: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes, cute sun dresses, and sexy shoes for nights out. Bring swimsuits and coverups for when you come out the pool and that air hits you BRRR!!! Pack your camera and of course some beautiful lingerie!

    Have fun!!!

Margaret pack swimwear, cover up, shorts, tanks, t-shirts, a pair of pants/jeans, sundress(s), comfy shoes. Are you going clubbing if you are nice outfit and nice shoes. Camera!! Sunscreen, a hat to cover your face. If you get cold in AC bring a sweater for when your in the casinos. I'll let you know if I think of anything else. r What are you planning on doing? I live 1 mile from the strip so if you need any suggestions let me know or idea of different places to eat.

FH and I are throwing around the idea of Vegas for the Honeymoon!!! I'm totally excited- I went there a few years ago when my mom and her husband got married. I was there with like my grandparents and underage siblings, and newlywed mother and I still had such an amazing time. I can't wait to go with someone who I can actually make the most of my time there- and what a better time to do it than the honeymoon. FH has never been there and I am tryng to explain how crazy different it is compared to Atlantic City which is our "home turf." He thinks AC is a mini Vegas- and in most accounts it is- but the atmosphere is completely different- I honestly don't remember being in my hotel room at all the whole trip when I was there- Honestly- I remember goin up to change and then leaving again- it really never sleeps- there are drive thru wedding chapels- drive thru liquor stores- some even have a take out window- kinda like a custard stand! DEF bring walking shoes tho! CONT...

My 17 year old brother (poor thing- we went 2 week shy of his 18th birthday0 he couldnt even go into the strip clubs!) thought it was brilliant idea to WALK from the "new" strip to the "old" strip- What's a few blocks right???? WRONG!!!! It took us like an hour each way and we ended up walking thru the ghetto!!!! Like no seriously- we saw a used purple condom on the side of the road and an episode of "COPS" playin out in front of our faces! lol It was an amazing time tho- great food- great drinks- shows are awesome- stuff to see other than the casinos (the M&M factory, Coca Cola Factory, Madamme Tuesauds (Sp??)- It was great! Awesome experience! Have a great time! (if you can't tell i'm SIKED to go back too!)

We are actually getting married in Vegas in November and will be there for like 6 days ... if anyone could share what the weather is like it would be great!! I plan on doing shirts and jeans and tennis shoes for daytime walking around but want to do the "cute" VEGAS type stuff for night. One night will be wearing my wedding dress ... once I am in it I ain't getting out of it till we are back to our room. We are staying downtown by the way!!! Thanks for your help!!!
