What to get someone who didn't register?

FH is the best man in a wedding that is this weekend. The couple has lived together for a couple of years and they have a baby so they're just having a small ceremony and didn't register for gifts anywhere. We want to get them a gift, obviously, but aren't sure what to get! Normally I would just go for kitchen stuff but they really don't cook, they almost always eat out so now I'm kind of lost on what to get! Any ideas??

If they always eat out, a gift card to their favorite restaurant would be a good gift.
If not, cash and a nice card is also a good option.

I might be the odd man out here but it irks me when people just want cash and expect me to pull out the checkbook. Im aware of the no registry unwritten rules, they just bug me!! I would likely get them a nice picture frame or a piece of home decor if I knew them well enough to know their taste. I don't mind giving a gift card as much so I might get them a gift card to a place they could go on a date/do an activity.
