What to do if I'm balling my eyes out!

Ashley, on May 27, 2017 at 12:21 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

So our pictures will be taken after the Ceremony. Any suggestions ladies on what to do. I really am telling myself I need to hold in all my emotions so I look great for the pictures. My eyes puff easily after crying like a baby lol

Sometimes I try to smile, breathe, or look up after crying , I find it helps!

Breathe deep and blink the tears away. Haha

I am probably gonna try and stash a tissue or two somewhere in my bouquet because I'm gonna be a crying fool I imagine, also.. water proof mascara!!!

I had this conversation with my makeup artist, and she told me that in her experience barely anyone *bawls* their eyes out because of the adrenaline going during the ceremony. Even people who usually consider themselves criers tend to only tear up and not cry full out

I am thinking the same thing!! I'm such a crier at everything so I'm very nervous I'll look the same way. Waterproof mascara will be my best friend

I am the biggest cry baby ever. I thought for sure I'd be bawling, and borderline hyperventilating during the ceremony. To my surprise I didn't cry at all! Didn't even tear up. You might surprise yourself.

I am actually pretty tough and cried like a baby. It was a stressful morning and the only thing i could have done better is relax more instead and balling it all up

I've been told if you pinch the skin between your thumb and index finger when you feel tears welling up it will help prevent you from actually crying. I'm a cryer (FB puppy videos are my kryptonite!) and have tried it a few times, it more or less works.

Old HR trick... you literally cannot cry if you're swallowing liquid. Have a couple sips of water and collect yourself.

I'm also the biggest cry baby, and I only teared up whole DH was saying his vows. But the adrenaline really helps!

I'm a cryer also and hadn't thought about this. This is definitely a "pro" for getting as many pre ceremony pics as possibly, including a first look. Hmmmm....
