What to call a flower girl who can't throw flowers?`

Lolerskates84, on March 22, 2016 at 11:49 AM Posted in Planning 0 34

Hi! We can't throw flowers in the Church, so i was going to have our "flower girl" either hold a sign saying "wait til you see her" or hold bells or something. Since she won't be throwing flowers, she's not really a "flower girl". What do I call her?

Thanks much!

Why don't you let the FG walk down the aisle with a kissing ball?

My flower girl isn't throwing flowers. She's walking down the aisle with a little bouquet.

I'd rather avoid flowers, tbh. It just feels odd calling her a flower girl if she is not holding flowers (?)

I think the kissing ball or a little bouquet would be cute

I just personally don't care for flowers, the bridesmaids are probably not going to have flower bouquets. Anyways...regardless...we should still call her flower girl? Just seems odd lol idk

I don't think anyone will notice or care what her title is. If they even know?? It doesnt matter. People see cute kid walking down aisle. They don't care if she has flowers or not

My FSIL still called theirs a flower girl and she carried a sign that said, " Last chance to run Uncle Mike, cause here she comes!"

Hmmm... someone else called their girl a ring princess. If it's the bells that you end up going with, maybe something like bell ringer? Lady of the bells? You could still go with FG and call it a day.

I frigging hate those signs! What if the bride wanted a last chance to run?! Why is the man always "trapped" into marriage? uggghhh.... but thats a whole seperate conversation. Id be like "EW" if I saw that at a wedding

I don't think anything about a "last chance to run" sign is cute.

Alright...now we're on a different road lol. Regardless of what she's holding, I'll just call her a flower girl to avoid any issues or confusion.

Thanks for the input Smiley smile

A lot of flower girls just hold bouquets and sometimes have a flower crown too. They're still called flower girls.

They don't have to toss petals or flowers to be a flower girl.

ETA just saw your other post. How about calling her wedding princess? I like the idea of ring princess that was mentioned.
