What time does your reception end?

Our reception starts at 600pm and is ending at 930pm. We have 65 guests and most of them are in their 30s-40s. When I tell people that it is ending at 930pm, they look at me like I'm CRAZY. I have thought about it ending at 1030-1100, but my DJ said that people start leaving around 9, and there wont...

Our reception starts at 600pm and is ending at 930pm. We have 65 guests and most of them are in their 30s-40s. When I tell people that it is ending at 930pm, they look at me like I'm CRAZY. I have thought about it ending at ****, but my DJ said that people start leaving around 9, and there wont be many people left. I dont want to regret not having our reception longer, help! (There is an open bar)

Our ceremony and reception are at an outdoor venue in a residential area so our wedding is going to be 3:30-9 on a Saturday and if we want we can also go downtown to one of the nice bars near our hotel afterward. My fiancé and I are both in our late 20’s and part of me has also wondered if this is too early but I think it’ll be perfect because I think 5.5 hours is a good amount of time, it would feel so awkward to have a bunch of people leave and have just a few of us left.

Your Dj make have just said that so you wpuld end early to schedule another party after. If your guest how already looked you crazy add an extra hour.

Our reception will be from 6 until about midnight but we know our friends will want to party. You know your crowd best

5:30-11 and then an after party at the hotel bar. The only weddings where I ever saw a bunch of people leave early were outdoors weddings with a lot of bugs that had terrible DJs.

My reception is going to be beginning at 6pm and ending at 1am. Our guests are definitely ones that love to party and drink into the night... and 9:30pm is outlandishly early for an event such as a wedding, for us.
