Morning? Afternoon? Evening? What time will your wedding ceremony start? Did you choose the time or was it set by your venue?
Mine will be at 4 p.m. on a Friday, cocktail hour at 5 p.m. then dinner at 6 p.m. Only have the Venue till about 10 p.m. we will have a lot of older guests who will not care to be out all night , but will have an after party with close friends and siblings at an upscale cigar bar/Latin nightclub.
Our ceremony will start at 5p. We wanted evening but the time was strongly suggested by our venue. She times the sun's location at the different times if the year. On June 30th, for our outdoor ceremony, the guests will all be shaded and out of direct sunlight as it begins. They should all be able to see and be comfortable.
10:30 AM on a Sunday. We chose this time because we wanted our ceremony and reception at the same venue. I wanted nightime so we could have a sparler send off but this time allows us to really enjoy our wedding without guests having to leave early to get ready for work the next day.
I chose 5pm trying to get best time for guests that live where I live but not late either.hopefully it works out its a thursday but almost everyone we know where we live work for themselves so we think 5pm will be okay for a majority .and the reception is at the same location so 530-630 is cocktail hour followed with dinner at 630.this is on a thursday too so we hope it works lol I can't change start time now that invites are out.5pm isn't too early right?
We are having our ceremony at 2:30. We have a time block from 2-4 since we are doing an outside ceremony at a local park. This will by give us time for setup, ceremony, photos and clean-up.
FH and I have been going back and forth on this. He thinks 4pm, I say 5pm. I'm inviting my coworkers (we work retail) and some of them will have to work until 7, so I want them to at least be able to enjoy most of the reception
