What time are you starting your ceremony November brides

Janet, on March 19, 2013 at 11:52 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

Anyone getting married on November 2nd what time are you starting your ceremony? We are having an outside ceremony and need time before the sun goes down to do pictures. Anyone have any suggestions for what time to start the ceremony? We won't have a very long ceremony half hour at the very most.

I'm getting married a couple weeks after you (Nov. 17th), but I'm starting my ceremony at 3:30pm. You can google search for predicted sunset times and get a general idea at what time you should start Smiley smile

I'm 11/16 and starting at 5pm... but we are doing first look pictures and are going to try to get as many done beforehand. The sun should set around 440ish that day so it will be dusk which we are fine with.

The sun should be setting around 6pm on the 2nd. Maybe a 430pm ceremony start time would work for you.

I am getting married on 11/09 at 2pm we forgot all about it originally when we planned because in AZ the time doesn't change but in ME where we are getting married it does.

Janet, on 11/2/13, the sun will set at 5:59 in LA, CA. The next day, it will set at 4:59 because DST will have ended overnight.

My suggestion is to ask your photographer what they recommend. I am getting married mid October this year and had NO IDEA when to do our ceremony. I wanted enough time to do all our photos before it got dark and still have extra time in case something didn't go as planned. I sent my photographer an email to see what she suggested and she gave me an entire wedding timeline idea. It was beyond helpful. She knew WAY more about putting one together than I ever did. She had things in there that I had completely looked over. Never hurts to ask Smiley smile

2pm - the latest the priest will perform a Saturday wedding.

I am not at all worried about the sun. Never would have crossed my mind when choosing a time.

So our photographer just said we should have our wedding at 3:30, which is not an option in my book. I was thinking 4:30 like everyone suggested on here.

If you start at 4:30, you'll be done by 5:00, and photographer will have an hour to take pics before the sun sets.

Sunset in Temecula for 11/2 will be at 5:56. The sun will be low in the sky so you're going to get beautiful light all day, and you'll have that beautiful golden light after 4:00 or so. That's awesome that your thinking about this, because some couples don't give lighting conditions any consideration. For a beautiful sunset wedding, I would start around 4:30. Make sure you find a photographer that knows how to use on and off camera flash though. Then, I would take your formals and then your couple shots from 5:00 to 6:00. Congrats!
