What size Guest Book

Muse, on June 10, 2018 at 1:10 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 7

So we are doing a alternative guest book but unsure just how many leaves I should have put on it.
Breakdown:
186 people invited. 94 Invites.
Expect 140 to accept from about 70 invites (Due to folks out of country or far away.
Should I grab 100 leaves, 120, or 150?
And how would you word the guestbook to have guests write names for example Erica & John Smith vs Mr and Mrs Smith. Our families share the same last name, which of course made invitations confusing. But just don't want the tree filled with 30+ Mr and Mrs. Smiths!

100 leaves should be fine. Not everyone write sth.

If you expect 140 people then get one that has at least that many leaves. It will be ok if there are extra leaves. Most people usually sign their first and last name. It's unusual for people to sign their name as "Mr. Smith" or "Mrs. Smith."

Personally I would plan on having 10-20% of the people not attend. You can either wait until RSVP’s are in and order the guest book adding approximately 10 extra leaves for walk ins, or buy the guest book now decreasing the amount of you leaves 10-20% from you overall invited guests. I would also recommend to place a sign up front to let people know the book is there to sign and to use their first names. In 50 years from now the first names hopefully will spark the memories from that day.

I would just order enough for your entire guest list, and if you have empty leaves, so be it. Maybe have your bridal party write wishes for you guys on the left overs or something. Or, you could mod podge pictures from the wedding onto the empty leaves.

Oh My! I love your guestbook!! I think one per guest as others suggested, is best. Rather a few too many than a few too short!.

I'm getting something like this also, I will be having a few more leaves than the guest list. I dont mind some leaves being blank, or they could also be used to write a quote on it, tgings like that.

I would get more than 140 leaves. I actually think the sign would look much better if there were some empty leaves spread among the signed leaves. There's something about empty space that makes everything look better.
