What Size Cups Should I Get For Mixed Drinks?

Kelley, on March 17, 2016 at 12:15 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11

I'm thinking 16 ounces is too big. For a few reasons. The obvious is that I don't want people getting too drunk, the others are watery drinks after a few minutes of sitting and also the financial part of maybe using less alcohol with smaller cups.....I'm thinking 8 ounce cups....or maybe even 12 ounce..... What do you all think?

Most cocktail glasses are 8 oz. So I'd go with the smallest ones!

Are you purchasing these glasses and doing the bar yourself? If not talk to your venues bartender and see what they provide

I would do a 12oz cup that way I don't have to walk up to the bar as often for refills!

Haha. I definitely read this as "what cup size should I have to get free drinks".

And on that note....what Tina said ;-)

I would suggest 9-10 oz.. cups. This is the size night clubs normally use 😉.

This is what a 9 oz cup looks like compared to a champagne flute. I’m asking family members in food service what these can be used for. I think the specialty mixed drink. The specialty drink during cocktail hour and the champagne during the reception toast are our only alcoholic drinks. What Size Cups Should I Get For Mixed Drinks? 1
