What size bed?

My FH and I are moving in together after the wedding and are looking to buy a bed now. We both currently sleep in twin beds. We probably don't have room for a king at the moment, but we are looking for a bigger place. We were between a queen and a full. Except we also found out one of our couple...

Except we also found out one of our couple friends shares a twin, so I guess that's possible? I think I would really be overcrowding FH in a twin haha.

What size bed do you use/would you recommend?

Are you planning on having kids? Big dogs? Or dogs in general? If so Queen 100% (honestly I'd say king I wish we had a king instead of Queen.... our dogs and toddler end up in the bed by morning and usually my husband ends up on the couch LOL!!!)

I'd say to go for at least a queen, especially if you have animals that snuggle with you on the bed. My husband and I have a queen and it's been working really well for us. I only hear anything negative if the cat decides to snuggle next to me instead of by my feet because I end up pushing John to the edge of the bed so the cat has enough space lol (Yes, I'm an absolute pushover when it comes to animals...)

Haha I love that dogs have come up so much in the responses! Maybe on a dog, definitely on kids, but I would like both to sleep in their own beds as much as possible (we will see how long that lasts...)

I'd definitely go with a queen. Definitely gives each person enough room. That's what me and my fiancé share now.

Queen, unless both you and your husband are petite. Queen sized beds are pretty standard (probably the most common bed size) for couples.

OMG I haven't shared a twin sized bed with a guy since college, and I can't imagine doing it now. Definitely go with a queen, full has so many less options for sheets, headboards, etc.

We just bought a new memory foam queen bed. That is all that will fit well in our bedroom. Though we wish we can have a king. We will get a king when we move into a bigger house.

The only reason I would buy a full-size mattress is if the room didn't have room for a queen. Full-size is fine for a person sleeping by themselves most nights if they want larger than a twin, but for two people I think most would find the full too close for comfort. There is very rarely a downside to having more bed space.

Once FH and I buy a house, we will be upgrading to a king-size if the room is big enough. We sleep fine in a queen - but considering you will spend 1/4 to 1/3 of your life in bed, why not make it as enjoyable as possible?

We currently have a queen and our dog sleeps right in between us lol. We couldn't fit a king, so we had to go with a queen, but once we get a house we'll upgrade to a king!

I'd suggest a queen if a king is 100% not an option!
