So I don’t want a dragged out reception so I called it a meet a greet. Because it is Covid times and I don’t think everyone is up to going out for too long and getting exposed. My fiancée doesn’t like it to be called that. Is that wrong of me? Also I want to take picture from 430-5pm after the ceremony with my groom while everyone else heads to the meet and greet he wants pictures before the ceremony

Call it a reception. Get pictures before the ceremony and spend the reception with your guests. A simple 2 hr cake and coffee reception is fine.

It’s a reception... keep in mind that your guests might expect some dinner since it is around dinner time. Cake & coffee just won’t be enough.

Sounds like you want a quick "cake and punch" reception. You'd need to have such a thing at a non meal time
