What should ushers wear?

I think it would be up to you and your FH to determine how dressed up you want the ushers to be. I have seen them in just dressy clothes (slacks, button up, and ties) as well as in matching the groomsmen attire. I would definitely say dress up as much as the rest of the wedding requires so no work boots imo. You could give them ideas on what to wear (nice pants and dress shoes sort of thing) or directly tell them this shirt/pants/tie/shoe color.

My 2 brothers are my ushers. They are wearing tuxes.

I think they should be able to wear something they already own and are comfortable in, unless you’re going to be paying for their attire. Assuming you’re doing a seating chart, I’m not sure why ushers would even be necessary in your case.

Our groomsmen are wearing navy blue suites with gold ties. My Bridesmen are wearing navy blue suites with black ties. Our ushers will wear black suits with either a navy tie or a gold tie.

We are having a church wedding with 4 ushers. They are my FHs friends and they will be in the same suits as the groomsmen. I have left FH in charge of what "his people" wear. He is much more knowlegable about mens fashion anyways.

However - in your circumstance - depending on the formality of your wedding and the other guests - I think your ushers do not need to wear suits and should just be well dressed. "Sunday Best" type of outfit.

My fiancé and his brother were ushers a couple years ago and they basically wore what the groomsmen wore except with no jacket! And they had suspenders! Looked cute!

My siblings are ushers and they are renting the same tuxes as the groomsmen. Ultimately I think it is up to you and your FH about how you'd like your day to go

Well wouldn't they be dressing up anyway and not wearing work boots? I would have them dress however the groomsmen are dressed.

So my ushers are actually girls and they are buying short black matching dresses so they they kind of match bridesmaids but braids maids have long one strap dresses

My usher (my nephew who is autistic and can't wait to show people to their seats... love him) will be wearing the same tux the groomsmen are wearing.

Lol I would like to think everyone will dress up but I think I'll be fortunate if a couple of my uncles show up in something other than t-shirts or camo button ups! My parents are paying for all of my siblings' attire so it's not something they'll be paying for either way

They would probably be more comfortable in the "Sunday Best" type of clothing, so we'll probably take that route. Thank you all!
