What should my flower girls carry??

Hayley, on February 3, 2015 at 2:49 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

My FG are 8 and 5. They will be walking down the isle with my Terrier, so I am trying to figure out what I should get them to carry that won't be too difficult. I was thinking on getting them to carry one simple pincushion Protea with maybe some thistle since there are protea's and thistle in my bouquet.

Any other ideas??

I made dainty floral wreaths with ribbon for two flower girls for a friend's wedding, and they were adorable. The girls didn't get overwhelmed with having to carry anything (though they didn't drop petals) and they got to take them as a keepsake to hang on the wall or bedpost like a tiny wreath.

Https://www.etsy.com/listing/187987833/9-inch-silk-flower-pomander-kissing-ball?ref=sr_gallery_32&ga_search_query=flower girl pomander ball&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery I like Ravyn's idea. My florist provides these flower pomade balls, it was cheaper to go through her than online. Just showing the link of Esty which sells them. I'm getting lavender but you can get them in a variety of colors. It's cute and something they shouldn't mind holding since it's lightweight, the dropping petals is not something I need to have.

I made kissing balls for each girl to carry.

My girls are carrying a sign that says "Uncle Here Come Your Bride"... FH doesnt know about it, so I think it will be a cute suprise... If you want something easy, how about a decorated wand. I thought this was cute also and was an option before I decided on the sign.

I'm struggling with this too! I think dropping flowers will just be too much for her- but I want her to have something to carry!

My flower girl is only 4 so there is really no telling what she will end up doing down the aisle! I am going to let her carry a basket of rose petals. Even if she doesn't throw them it will still be something for her to carry and if she does throw them, then it's a win win!
