What should I expect at a bridal expo???

Brianna, on September 12, 2017 at 7:37 PM Posted in Planning 0 10

There is a bridal expo in the town next to where I live this weekend and I'm thinking of going! But I have never been to one or has anyone i know been to one. I just want to know what to expect? I don't want to go and it be a total waste of time.

The ones I've been to are lots of vendors for everything you need for a wedding. They all have booths that you can stop at to meet them and talk to them and get their information. A lot of them give away prizes too.but it's basically just a vendor finder.

I went to one last month. Its a bunch of vendors and they usually have a discount code or coupon for you to use towards their services. Caterers were there and bakeries for cakes with small samples. There was also alot of raffles for stuff like "free engagement session" "free ring cleaning". They usually have a fashion show as well and food. It was cute, I suggest everyone go atleast once just to experience it. They give away a free honeymoon at a lot of them at the end. Wear comfortable shoes and create some labels with your name , number and email address so you won't have to keep writing it over and over.

    Tons of vendors.

    Tons of free stuff.

    Usually lots of food.

    Lots of raffles and prizes.

If you never go to one, you're really not missing out. I went to a few and never hired anyone from them.

Tons of vendors and free prizes! We won a free engagement photoshoot and found our photographer, Dj, and our cake bakery at the last one we went to. I recommend if you are still looking for vendors or hoping to win stuff. Most vendors seem to offer a discount if you book them there or right after the expo. Have fun and bring a few people (not a ton though).

I went to a center city bridal show, with my sister and 2 friends. Only 2 of us married in the area and we didn't book any of the vendors, from the show.

I got e-mails for years afterwards. All of us agreed it was a waste of time. I called it "a feeding frenzy in a shark tank."

Disappointment.... just kidding. I didn't really love the expo I went to. Nothing I couldn't see online and there were a ton of scam prizes. Don't use your real email/phone number if you can help it- use one you create for the wedding.

Lots of vendors!! Free stuff!! Deals!! The best advice I've read is to create a new wedding email to give to vendors because they will spam it like nobody's business. I found my venue, flowers, and caterer at the show. They also gave away $500 of "bridal bucks" that I was able to apply to the venue, in addition to the deals I got for booking the venue at one of their open houses. Essentially, my dj, linens, appetizers for cocktail hour, and S'mores bar are all free because of the show.

Like everyone said lots of vendors. Don't sign up for the Mary Kay list where you win a make over. I magically win every time and they harassed me to the point where I had to block her number!! But there's always free food which is always a great thing

Lots of vendors and sign up with us to be put into a contest to win something. Then get spam mail.

Little free food samples and trinkets

Lots of moms and daughters, very crowded.

Depending on the spot it can be done well or horribly. If you are in the Chicago land area the naper settlement wedding expo is nice
