What should a florist's contract include?

Should pictures be added or is a description enough? How thorough should it be? Should there be a time on the contract that they are expected to arrive?

Also, I want to provide the florist I want with a deposit but I have not finalized all of my floral details. She said she put some of the font in blue, which are items that be changed once I decide. Does that sound like the best option or should I really figure out all of the details before providing a deposit?

This is how her contract looks that she sent me. I removed her address and name and such.

    Mine has the time of delivery and pick-up. I can also change anything on my contract until 14 days before the wedding, after which it is final.

    Mine was very detailed. It included inspiration pics for each item and even the estimated number of stems for each bouquet/arrangement. It included delivery time and location (I needed some flowers delivered to the hotel for pictures and some to the venue).

    The most important things are: wedding date, time, and location, and the itemized list of each floral item with quantity and cost!

    My contract include some inspiration pictures, mostly for reference on type of flowers to be used (if that impacts the cost) and size and fullness of the arrangements. I also went back and forth with my florist a lot about size and cost though Smiley smile I wanted examples of what a $150 centerpiece looked like vs. a $100 centerpiece.

    Other things included in the contract were: payment terms and timeline, a clause about returning all property of the florist (vases etc.), policy for missing / damaged items, a clause about flower substitutions ("it may be necessary...to make substitutions due to quality or availability issues"), and a clause saying that I any additions to the floral order in the last 30 days will be subject to additional charges.

    I'd definitely ask about the timing and charges for any changes to your order! With my florist I was locked in to what I'd agreed to in the contract, but could add additional items up until the last 30 days - so I purposely estimated the low end for number of centerpieces, because I knew I could go up but not down Smiley smile On the other hand, the vendor I used to rent linens and chairs from let me make any quantity changes up until a certain date, so I estimated on the high end for linens and chairs to make sure I was covered and adjusted down once I had my final numbers.
