What shoes to get??

Are you getting married ON the beach? If so, sandals will work best. Unless it is hard-packed sand, you will be sinking in those heels. Save them for your reception (if it is on decking or concrete ) We had a basket of flip flops for our guests, and 10 pair were pulled and exchanged for "street shoes". I wore flat glittery sandals for our beach wedding - so did the bridesmaids. (Mine is the foot with pink toenails.)

I completely agree with Pat. If your ceremony is actually on the beach (ie, on the sand) I would avoid heels. Heels + sand = sinking and/or rolled ankles.

I agree! If you have an aisle runner on the beach, you might be okay, but in my experience heels on the beach haven't been a good combination. You might be better with chunkier heels than narrow/stilettos, but be weary that even those could be tricky!

I agree that heels are not a great idea on the beach. If you need the height, look at wedge heels that won’t fall into the sand so easily. But for a beach wedding, I’d go with pretty flat sandals.
