What Past Brides Wish They Would've Known

Caitlyn, on August 25, 2019 at 10:11 PM Posted in Planning 1 6
Past brides!! (Or brides in the last week of planning) what are the few things no one told you to prepare for or order, or shop for, or plan for, you get the picture.

While I still have 2 ish months left before the big day, I really want to have most everything set and in place so I'm not scrambling last minute. I have a month of coordinator and once I hand it all over to her I want to feel good about things being ready. October is full of parties and showers and different events and I'd like to relax that month. Especially since my work schedule is different each week, so it makes it tough finding time to accomplish tasks. I am a huge user of Etsy and many things tend to take a while, so I'd like to get any other orders in relatively soon.

Make sure you have a list for the photographer on what he should take pictures of.

Tell someone to be in charge of your phone to answer calls and take pictures.

And if you're having a dessert table, make sure someone pack one for you to go.

TOOTHPICKS/FLOSS aha. I ate something... Think it was a broccoli and oh my god I very very clearly had green bits all stuck in my teeth and so my bridesmaids had to go ask the waiter for a toothpick for me to clear my teeth with ahah.

I wish I gave someone my photo list besides the photographer, we were super rushed & forgot 1 family group picture. We didn't get enough candid pictures with our guests. We totally forgot to plan a welcome speech (if you plan on doing one of these). We spent too much on flowers for sure.

$3,900. They were super pretty but we probably could have been happy with 2-3k.
