What length veil should I wear for a dress that has no train whatsoever?

Jenny, on April 19, 2017 at 10:59 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14

My wedding dress looks like this, perhaps even more straight on me than the model. I have no idea what kind of veil would be appropriate. A friend suggested a cathedral length, which I thought might be too long, but she said would make up for the lack of train. Suggestions? Photos?

I think a cathedral veil would look lovely with that dress, but then again I'm team cathedral veil so I may be biased. Why don't you try some veils on with different lengths to see what you like.

To be honest, I have no idea what looks good. I've only tried finger length veils at boutiques - so I'm hoping for a better idea here of what is typical or what would be weird.

I have a dress with no train and a long veil! I think it looks fine, I get a dramatic look like I had a train, without having to deal with a bustle.

Lovely!!! So it's better to pair it with a long viel?

I think the long veil would look beautiful with the dress.

I should! But i'll confess it right now - I bought the dress a little small and have been hitting the gym but am not quite there yet - am embarrassed to try it on at boutiques (or is that normal?)

I would go with cathedral! It will make for a more dramatic look and walk down the aisle, and will really make you feel like a bride. Just imagine the photos of you walking down the aisle from behind!

Team cathedral - as long as you are getting married inside. It could be a little feisty in the wind
