What kinds of beer should I get?

Lysandra, on September 15, 2017 at 5:07 PM Posted in Planning 0 16

We're buying all of the beer for our wedding ourselves. Pretty much everybody we know is fine with bud light but I'd like to add one or two more options. What other kinds of beer should we add? I kinda wanted one of them to be a seasonal option. Has anybody had yuengling oktoberfest? Would that be a good option or no?

Sam Adams always has great seasonal beers like their Oktoberfest! It's delicious and perfect for your October wedding. It may be a crowd pleaser for people who don't like bud lite?

I'm a big fan of yuengling beer but I haven't tried their Oktoberfest. Sam Adams is always a good choice though!

Https://vinepair.com/wine-blog/20-most-popular-beers-america/ My bartender told me something about getting a few popular imports and a few popular domestics then locals as an option.

We did a light (coors light), a more heavy (sam adams lager), and a seasonal (shocktop lemon shandy - but it was summer!). I think if you have a variety you'll be fine. People make due!

Following this because we are probably buying our own alcohol too! We are thinking of doing corona, shock top, and one or two others. I like the idea of the Oktoberfest for you wedding

Regular yuengling is a decent widely liked option. Sam Adams Oktoberfest would work well too!

Were doing a domestic (bud light), an IPA, a stout, an Octoberfest, and a cider

I agree with the Sam Adams, either Boston Lager or seasonal (Oktoberfest) and an IPA. Regular Yuengling Lager is pretty popular around here too. I love pumpkin beer too, but that's not for everyone. Maybe even a bottled cider/apple ale or one of those "Not Your Father's ..." drinks?

My venue comes with Miller Lite and Yuengling Lager on tap. I debate about buying some craft bottles too (they'll get cases at cost for us) but I doubt our budget will allow it. I vicariously live through threads like this.

Oktoberfest beers are always a good choice. I personally love yuengling.

I like Karen's idea of pumpkin beer & hard cider also. Stegmaier has a pumpkin beer that's not sweet or have strong clove taste. Blake's cider, ciderboys & McKenzie's make some great ciders in many different flavors

Definitely an Oktoberfest since it's the seasonal right now! And it's delicious.

For our seasonal, we are going with blue moon harvest pumpkin ale.

Corona Light and Angry Orchard. I personally like a super dark wheat beer but I'm weird.
