What kind of music can I play while guests are arriving?

Emma, on May 10, 2014 at 9:54 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

My wedding won't be at a church. it will be outdoors at a garden. So as the guests arrive to the ceremony, does the music have to be intrumental only? I was thinking of music like this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TbfRLxGL1Q

What do you think? Is it too much? Or should I just have instrumental? It could get pretty boring just piano and violin.

Play whatever you all enjoy and maybe something that sets the tone to your wedding. We'll be playing some alternative/contemporary Christian music because that's the tone we want to set Smiley smile

You can play anything you want. We hired a string duo to play instrument music both classical and contemporary.

I am having a pianist and a singer (husband and wife) who are the step sister and BIL to long time friend perform at mine. I would like to pick songs that feature her amazing voice but are love songs or from old movies like the sound of music.

Look up the piano guys. They have instrumentals to current songs. But I do agree you could play anything.

I was going to suggest the piano guys as well. Also look up Vitamin String Quartet. That's what I plan on using! They cover popular songs but it's all instrumental.

I think you should play whatever you want! What kind of mood do you want to set for your guests as they arrive? Relaxing? Romantic? Whimsical?

We're playing some mellow, fun favorites to set the tone for our casual garden wedding: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQESZszV0Sg
