What kind of lights are these? (tent)

Si, on June 28, 2018 at 6:12 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 16
I really want that twinkling, starry night effect like in this photo. I'm not sure if this can be created by the bistro lights we've rented. The more I look at this photo, the more it looks like Christmas lights! Am I crazy?

(If they are xmas lights, anyone have the scoop on where to get the best deals?)

Those are probably more like Christmas lights. Some places have them year round labeled as "wedding", but you'll probably pay less if they're Christmas, especially if you can wait until after the holidays and get them on clearance. (Sorry, don't check your date because internet is being weird ,so don't know how long you have.)

This was super helpful, thank you! I found a close up of the lights and they are not the bulbs I intended to rent!

Christmas light have bulbs you can replace and have to plug them in a socket. Fairy light are on a wire vs. a cord with thin bulbs that cant be replaced. They are battery operated and have a lottle more bulbs on them. They give the illusion of stars.

Ohh fantastic! I bet these give off an amazing effect. How would you compare the light yield compared to Christmas lights? Super subtle?

Best way to do that is comparing them side by side with the house lights off. Lol. Its a bit hard when all the lights in the house are on. Another way is to put them on a black sheet of paper as well. I didnt like the bulky look that the Christmas lights had so i switched them for the fairy lights. Fairy lights are more subtle and they do come in different colors.
