What is your something borrowed?

I've decided on my something old, new, and blue but I'm stuck on something borrowed! What are you ladies borrowing, and from whom?

I'm borrowing my great great (great?) Grandmother's wedding ring which dates back to about 1850. My mum has it. I plan on pinning it to my bouquet or wearing it - depends how it fits - I'd hate to lose it!

Here are a few other ideas of things you could borrow from family or friends

    a veil

    a piece of jewellery

    a handkerchief

Some more unusual things you could borrow could also include - your first dance song from your parents or a friend, a line in your vows from a famous author, some of your decor items, or even asking someone to surprise you with a borrowed item on the day!

I am borrowing a sapphire bracelet from my best friend. I'm wearing sapphires for my jewelry, so it was a perfect option (and the jewelry can be my something blue).

My something borrowed was a necklace from my mom. After my grandma passed away earlier in the year, my mom had the diamond from my grandma’s wedding set (which my grandma was very proud of and loved to tell people the story about how my grandpa got it) turned into a stunning solitaire necklace.

I'm so stuck on the "something borrowed"! I'm thinking I might either borrow something of my fiance's to carry with my bouquet, or maybe borrow something from one of my bridesmaids (no clue where to even begin with it though!). I don't want to borrow jewelry, but not sure what else could be borrowed.

I borrowed 2 of my mom's tablecloths from her home country. The style of embroidery was so special to me, I chose my gown with a similar floral pattern.

I didn't plan anything for this, but at the last minute a friend lent me an embroidered handkerchief (a family heirloom of hers) to carry. This tradition was important to her and she didn't want me to skip it. The handkerchief came in handy Smiley cry , and I returned it laundered. Smiley smile

I'm borrowing my mom's diamond stud earrings to wear in my second hole.

I have my something blue, and new, but still working on something old!

I hadn't planned for this, but then my mom found the cake server set her and my dad used at their wedding, so we used that! 🙂

I’m borrowing my moms earrings, vintage and beautiful. And I’m borrowing my sister’s blusher, which she also borrowed, so it really needs to go back to my cousin ha!

One of my closest friends sent me her wedding jewelry (necklace, earrings, bracelet) to “borrow”. I was so shocked as I didn’t expect it, but I was definitely honored.
