What is the average price to pay for hair and makeup??

My hair stylist charged $535 for me + my 6 bridesmaids. My MUA charged $400.

I think this varies greatly by location.

I'm paying 785 for makeup for myself and 8 bridesmaids. I'll have 3-4 girls getting their hair done which will be $65-75 each.

The girl that's doing mine and 6 bridesmaid hair is $25 per person. Makeup is $35 per person. It all varies greatly on location

I live in Texas and payed $250 for seven girls makeup, and hair was $450 for six bridesmaids and $150 for bride. The two girls worked nonstop for six hours and were so awesome.

Depends on your location and MUA. I am in South FL. I am paying $120 for myself and my bridal party is $100 each for both hair and airbrush make up

We are paying my MUA $260 plus a $50 tip and we are paying my hair dresser $360 with a $50 tip.

As a MUA who occasionally does brides it does greatly vary. SF is up there in price with MUAs charging between $250-500 just for the bride. My advice for anyone looking to save would be...

-Consider going to a makeup counter if you can: I know it's not really all that glam but most brands will only charge you the cost of a regular makeover (around $60 you just have to buy the products used).

-Find a capiable beauty school student! Make sure to do a trial. Many budding MUAs are pretty skilled but do not have portfolios. They often deeply discount their work as a result of this. Thumbtack is a good place to find local beauty experts in your area.

My wedding will also be in Iowa, when I did some initial research it seems like hair will be $60-75 pp, and makeup $150-200 for me, and around $60-75 for bridesmaids.

-$380 for me (initial hairstyle and makeup, touchup and second hairstyle)
