What is a all inclusive package?

Micaela, on December 8, 2015 at 5:24 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 14

Hey, I'm planning my wedding and just curious on what a all inclusive package meant for venues. Does it mean that the vendors that are recommended lower there prices for clients or does it mean that every thing is included in the package?

Often means everything is included in the package, but it really depends on the venue and how they're set-up, so you should check with the individual venues to see what it means to them. Mine is technically "all-inclusive", but that just means it includes catering, food, and bar costs (though not the alcohol itself); ceremony and rehearsal; and all tables, linens, chairs, set-up, cake-cutting, champagne toast, and uplighting for the reception. I still have to source elsewhere for a photographer, officiant, DJ, florist, etc. Some all-inclusive venues do include these as well.

It means that almost everything for your wedding should be included in the venue's package!

I'm having an all inclusive wedding at a hotel. Food, alcohol, cake, tables, chairs, linens, basic centerpiece is all included in a per person price. I can upgrade if I want premium options.

So if I purchase a all inclusive venue, the vendors that are included, I wouldn't pay for, correct? Or would I pay for them too. Aside the tips of course

ETA: Totally misread your comment, haha, sorry. Yes, the vendors that they say are included you would not pay extra for. They would be included in your per-person price.

All inclusive means everything should be included, ceremony reception, DJ, catering, etc.

Michaela, usually all inclusive venues charge on a per person basis. For example, for $xx per person you get access to the venue, food, alcohol, tables/chairs, linens, cake etc. Packages will vary by venue. Do you have any venues in mind?

A per-person price is the price, per person on your guest list, that a venue charges you for the event.

For example, I had a mostly inclusive venue that included ceremony space (though we opted to have our ceremony elsewhere), reception space, all catering, alcohol (open bar), and table linens. There were various packages to choose from, and mine was $77/person plus tax and service charge. We hired our own DJ and photography because those weren't included.

It depends on the venue and your area. In my area, "all inclusive" means things like linens, tables and chairs, dishes/barware/flatware, catering, bar and rental fee are all included.

My 'all inclusive' included food, linens, alcohol (if we wanted it) tables, chairs-- they recommended the other vendors, who did not seem to give me a discount, but I was glad to know they came so highly recommended, and since they knew the venue already, everything flowed seamlessly-- no one asked me where to put or do *anything*. I was free to enjoy my day as much as my guests (which is something many brides don't get!).

I would ask the venue what all inclusive means. Our venue is pretty all inclusive, but has different package levels that are more inclusive than others. They have an add on package for photographer, cake and flowers, but since I am already going with someone else for flowers we didn't purchase that. We pay $1500 site fee and $50 pp. Then you add in things like the bar service, food upgrades, decor upgrades...
