What in the world do i do with these ugly poles?

Andrea, on September 12, 2019 at 1:20 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 21
I’m getting married at my father’s home. The ceremony will take place under the pergola in his backyard. Just in front of the pergola is a gorgeous koi pond. My father had to put 2 wooden poles into the ground to attach a shade cloth for his fish. Unfortunately, they are directly in front of the pergola and are in complete view of my guests. They can’t be moved and I am at a loss for what to do with them. I was thinking about wrapping ribbon all the way down, but I don’t know how that would look.
There are 2, but only 1 is pictured.
Any thoughts?

-Side note: these photos were taken just after winter. The yard will look muuuuuch better for my wedding.

Definitely tulle or lights depending on the time of day! You could also put a small vase or something on the top with flowers in it (if it's flat, I can't tell from the photo) Smiley smile

Definitely agree that greenery will help them blend in with all the greenery around them, add flowers to spice them up a bit. Even all disheveled after winter your ceremony location is beautiful Smiley smile

I would wrap vines or even flower vines around them to match your theme.

Any kind of greenery, flowers, or ribbon I think will look great. If your father doesn't mind you adding nails, you could use them to hang lanterns or signs.

I would get some greenery to wrap it with so that it blends in with the landscape.

What about wrapping flowers all the way around them?? If you go to FiftyFlowers.com they sell like Garland but made of flowers, you know what I mean?? Anyway, you could order 2 of them and then just wrap them around each pole. The prices on them aren't bad at all it really just depends on which type of flowers you get. Hope that helps!! Good luck!!

Maybe you could wrap material or fabric or tulle around them and pretty flowers that match your wedding theme?
