I’m actually concerned that a few of my guests will just bring a random person without rsvping for them and just show up... but how are you supposed to navigate that? It’s not like you have a bouncer at the door making sure people are on the list and kicking the rest out. Also, I plan on doing a seating chart... and those surprise guests won’t have a seat or a plate of food nor do i want to have to pay for them when they weren’t invited! My ceremony and reception are in the same place so I’m not sure what to do if this happens!

I have a security guard at my wedding and if any guests come that were not invited they will be asked to leave.

I wouldn’t stress about something you can’t prevent. Not a lot of people will do this. When some people do it, they won’t have a meal. However, most carter will account for those who don’t rsvp.

I sort of have this problem, but worse. My husband's nephew and his snotty wife expect to be invited, and they have 2 teenage daughters. He told his sister that the nephew and wife will get an invitation, but none has been sent. We will see them in a few weeks, and are not close to any of them. However, my husband refuses to tell them our daughter doesn't want them to attend. I'm now concerned that all 6 of them will show up instead of just the sister & her husband. My husband doesn't like to confront them honestly. If they all show up, I'm putting them at a table as far away as possible from the rest of us and ignoring them, as I do not see any way to refuse to let them in. It's 2 hours from their home. Any suggestions?
