What if dress is too tight the day of?

So I had my final fitting yesterday and the dress fits perfectly - though it felt a little more snug than it did a month ago; I remember thinking "phew, I have some room!" last month, and now that room is gone (my seamstress didn't say anything about making adjustments to the top, so I don't think...

So I had my final fitting yesterday and the dress fits perfectly - though it felt a little more snug than it did a month ago; I remember thinking "phew, I have some room!" last month, and now that room is gone (my seamstress didn't say anything about making adjustments to the top, so I don't think she changed it). But it's still comfortable.

Not sure if I actually gained any weight over the last month or if I just had too many carbs this week, but if I were to stay the same size from now until October 10th, I'd be golden. My worry is that.. what if I don't? I feel like if I gain any weight, the dress will be too tight.

I don't have any more fittings and am picking up the dress two days before the wedding.

Any suggestions on what to do if it's too tight the day of? I've read something about safety pins and fishing line, but not sure how that works exactly. Below is a pic of the back of the dress on a model for reference.

Why did you have your final fitting so soon? And just ty and be mindful of what you eat and maybe go for walks to get a little exercise in

I followed the shop's suggested alterations timeline. But hopefully they'll let me come try it on again in a couple of weeks!

They should be able to let you come in and try it on again to make sure everything is ok

Try it on when you pick it up to take it home and see where it is. I would ask your seamstress if she has an "emergency" contact in the event something happens on the day. Also agree with pps on keeping the water intake UP! That will help with any water retention.
