What flowers with plum?

Danielle, on May 15, 2014 at 12:13 PM Posted in Planning 0 10

My florist says she can inly spray carnations my plum color and that i should go with purple flowers. Naturally purple flowers all like violet to me. What color/kind flowers should i go with for plum bridesmaid dresses? Was going to put them in my boquet with some white and white boquets for them w some plum. And plum w some white for the tall centerpieces. Any ideas??

I took this pic at my FSILs wedding a couple years ago. Her dresses were considered plum, and I think her flowers matched very nice.

    My girls carried babies breath.

My bouquet had some light pink (larkspur) mixed in.

I am doing purple as well. I am going to post the photo that is my inspiration that my moms shop has already done for a prior wedding. Maybe that can help you out.

Sorry that it is sideways but the darker purple is a carnation.

You actually don't want the bouquet to be completely the same shade as the dresses as it will blend in. You want to stay in the same pallete as far as warm/cool tones but you can play around and really mix it up. I think the pictures others provided are good examples.

Exactly what Tiffany said. My girls are wearing black dresses so the bouquets they will have will stand out and not clash with the color of their dresses.

What Future.Mrs.Smedstad posted looks really good. The colors go really well together and it doesn't blend in at all.

My MOH is wearing plum/eggplant and our flowers will be mostly red roses, purple stock (a bit brighter purple) and a splash of fuschia. My florist is calling it fall jewel tones.
