What fabric is this?

Tori, on April 23, 2020 at 5:39 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 13
So I was looking at pictures of my venue on Instagram. And I love the white drapes on all of the circus tent posts. I’m afraid tulle won’t look as full. What fabric do you think she used? (See pic)What fabric is this? 1

Well here is the thing, she’s an event planner. And when I asked, she said it’s just white fabric. They are $15 to rent and you need 10 of them. But she is known for being expensive.

She wants me to rent it from her. But it’s $150 plus set up. Yes I have to pay the set up fee. She said she would knock it down to only $100. But spending $250 on renting simple fabric, I wanted to know if I could do it myself for cheaper. I also was interested in draping it all from the center of the tent to the legs and down. But she only has enough fabric for the legs. To get her to do the draping I would have to hire her as a decorator which is minimum $3500, but she would do the entire wedding. So, I would rather DIY it then pay her fees. And she wouldn’t tell me the type of fabric because she wanted me to rent them.

Try checking out this website for cheap fabric. ☺️ You can buy it in bulk and it’s all dyeable fabrics, so the fabric is primarily sold in only white. I know they have silk chiffon, not sure about voile.
I’m planning to order some gauze fabric from them to make my table runners.

Organdy or organza sheers. The thicker, fine denier like a kid's party dress, more substance . The real silk is expensive. Poly equivalent about $6 a yard, wide 54"-64" .What fabric is this? 2

It also comes in textured, thicker stuff , need less of it. These from online fashionfabricclub.com, the online branch or Denver Fabric Supply .
Order by the bolt, 15 yard ( 45 ft ) long piece 54" wide for $54 is a reasonable price for it. You could be talking 2 or more bolts. Also comes in colors, poly shimmer organza.

The only places I know to get it cheaper than 3.70 a yard here , other people han a sale, is costume quality at Walmart and some other. Dangerous! Meant for a small amount in a craft, it is a different composition petroleum products that will burn and spread explosively, even hot lightbulb temp for some. So you cannot drape a tent full or people with the cheap costume/ craft weight. The above is like any synthetic clothes.
