What Else Can i Do...

Kayla, on October 16, 2019 at 4:29 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

My wedding is still a little over a year away. I believe we've gotten all the big vendors checked off (venue, photographer, DJ, hair, makeup, florist, catering, cake, dress, officiant). I have reached out to a local restaurant about our rehearsal dinner. Our engagement pictures are scheduled for next week, and when we get those FH will design our save the dates and invites. We are hiring a decorator through our venue and they provide pretty much everything you could think of decor wise. My question is what else should I or can I be doing? My next thing was to make a list of all the gifts we want to give our bridal part to make sure we take advantage of Black Friday. But after that, I'm at a loss.

Sounds like you're on top of things!! Do you already have addresses for sending out Save the Dates? If not, you could start gathering that info

Not yet! But I was going to talk to both our mom's over Christmas so that way I can sit down with each of them just to verify the guest list one more time while we do that.

Triple check your guest list for correct spelling and addresses. This was my biggest issue, my husband struggled to get addresses for his side.

Take advantage of black Friday/Holiday sales for envelopes, return address stamps/lables (if they are separate from your Save the Dates and Invites).

Buy postage. Just in case the price increases again.

Start your registry. Go to registry events at places like Bed Bath and Beyond and Crate and Barrel. They are really fun and a great way to get FH involved.

Get your wedding website together with all of your details. You have time to write your love story, add pictures, write a little bio for all of your bridal party, etc.

Start a journal with ideas for vows (if you are writing your own), little notes along the way to FH (would make a cool gift to give him on the day of).

Honestly you are so ahead of the game that now is the time to relax, work on your health and well-being before being thrown into wedding madness again when it comes time to start picking details.
