What do i do with my dress now?

Yoice, on October 6, 2019 at 1:55 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10
Hello everyone!
I know a lot of people here but used dresses online and I wanted to get an idea of some of the websites you all use.
Now my wedding is all done I always thought I’ll keep my dress and I would love too but I know is not something I’ll probably ever use again so I’m thinking of selling it. I would prefer to sell it directly to a bride instead of a boutique but I understand how hard the straight route can be.
Any ideas on how to start?

Check out websites like still white, poshmark, etc (I'm sure if you google wedding gown resale sites more will pop up)

Poshmark and StillWhite.com are good places to post your dress for sale!

I bought my dress off Facebook Marketplace, but I looked on preownedweddingdresses.com, stillwhite.com, tradesy.com, and Poshmark as well! They're all really reputable sites. Smiley smile

Thank you so much Lauren. Was buying an used dress easy for you?
I get nervous that the bride doesn’t fit in the dress because the measurements of the dress changed the moment I had alterations done. The whole thing makes me so nervous.

My dress was, actually, brand new without any alterations so nothing was changed to the dress. My Matron of Honor bought a used one from preownedweddingdresses.com, and it was easy for her! You'll just need to supply your height (or whatever height the dress was hemmed to) and the measurements for your altered dress. Her dress almost fit perfectly after the previous bride's alterations so her alterations costs were minimal, which she was really happy about!
