What did you get your mistress of ceremonies?

SphynxLover, on March 11, 2014 at 10:11 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 9

My MOC is a work "BFF" She's really creative and knows all the rules of etiquette so I thought she would be a great person to ask. I am having a DJ so she won't have to do much announcing but I do want to get her a nice gift. What did you all get/do and how much did you spend?

I don't even know what a "mistress of ceremonies" is, is it like a day of coordinator or DOC?

Yes what is a MOC? When I first saw "mistress" I thought about the sexual kind of mistress… TBH.

Wait... In pretty sure a mistress/master of ceremonies is the correct name for an emcee (MC) which is the DJ typically. Am I wrong? I know my DJ is the person emceeing and I'm sure that's what MC stands for.

Yeah, pretty sure it is an emcee not a DOC. And the emcee doesn't have to be the DJ. It can be someone else. Some couples ask a family member or friend who is good at public speaking to do the announcing.

That's true I guess it doesn't have to be the DJ just one of the perks of having one less person to pay by it being included in the DJ package.
