What day of the week are you getting married?

We chose Saturday since we will have lots of out of town guests.

Saturday afternoon.

We’re getting married on a Wednesday at our dream venue. We would not have been able to afford to host our wedding there Thurs-Sun so we decided on Wednesday because we love the venue so much. The people on our 140 guest list are very excited to attend because they love us and our relationship. Side note: A lot of our family members and friends don’t have the typical Mon-Fri 9-5 job and requesting off on the weekend would be actually more difficult for them. Just thought it was worth mentioning that not everyone is off on the weekends. Some are off every other weekend or work every weekend.

Were getting married on a thursday...next Thursday to be exact (july 11th) weve gotten a lot of grief for it but july 11th is our anniversary (dating) and this year is our 11th year together we didnt want to change our anniversary and with it being our 11th year together it seemed special....i just told potential guests if they couldnt make it we understand but we had no plans to change it...plus weekdays are cheaper

Yep, I feel that! I'll have a normal Mon-Fri job by the time my wedding rolls around, but right now I get about half of my hours every week on Saturdays so having to take a Saturday off hurts me way worse financially than doing anything on a week day. The same could be said about a lot of our loved ones as well.
