What costs should the bride cover for her bridesmaids?

I have 8 and half are flying in- I'm paying for

-(very economical) housing

-half of hair and makeup if they choose

-approx 100 dollar gift each

They are paying for

-dress (100-200ish)

-travel (50-200)

Dresses are long so they pick shoes, and jewelry is up to them (as of now, I'm debating getting them all earrings)

I did not pay for anything yet. I let her pick out her own dress though. it was 100, my mom paid half (it is my sis)

I did not pick any colours, i based it all on what she wanted. she did not mind

I agree with @Christine When you agree to be a bridesmaid you know you will have to spend money it comes with the territory. My bridesmaids are paying for their own dresses and shoes, I didn't require them to do their hair and makeup professionally so they will most likely do it themselves not worried about it one bit since they are girly girls. Anything you require besides the dress I think the right thing is to cover the cost.

I have planned to pay the dresses,hair, jewelries(brooch and bracelet) to my bridesmaid,

no contain the shoes ,cause each one has the nice black high heel .

I'm paying for our hotel rooms for the weekend and am also paying for all of us to get our nails done. I asked that the bridesmaids have the same hairstyle so i'm contributing money towards their hair. Makeup is optional and if they want it, they are paying for it.
