What color should the mother of bride/groom wear?

The mothers don’t have to match the bridal colors. They should wear whatever color they feel comfortable in. If they are asking you and you want them to coordinate maybe a nice champagne color or even a navy would be pretty. They could also do burgundy.

I think the burgundy color would be really nice or maybe even a silver or gold would match really well also and they would stand out a little bit from the bridesmaids colors.

I don’t care what color they should wear they just want to go with the color scheme of the wedding but they don’t want to match the bridesmaids exactly

I’d let them wear whatever color they want. As parents of the bride and groom, they don’t need to match the bridal party or wedding colors.

My MIL and mom were adamant about having an assignes color for their outfits. I chose silver for them. Our wedding colors are 5 shades of blues and silver.

View Quoted Comment We decided that the "tie everything together color" would be silver. So as a sign of respect, the mothers will be all silver. The groom is wearing a medium grey suit. Groomsmen are in navy blue. Bridesmaids are bright blue and baby blue. All men wearing matching baby blue ties. Mens shoes are black. Womens shoes are silver. Tablecloths are royal blue, silver runners, baby blue napkins. I got a little crazy with overthinking the color scheme but im so in love with it now and can't wait to see it all come together!!

Not white and not blue like the bridesmaids. Everything else is really fair game! Although one in blush and one in grey is always a good combo.

I think a navy blue would be a good match or grey would be nice, that’s what my mother in law is wearing and grey pretty much goes with anything I’d say. And they don’t always have to match your colors but if you want them to just have them match or do something that’s neutral
