What Color Should i Do My Bridesmaid Dresses?

Hello all,

I'm getting married this year in July and went on the hunt for my wedding dress. I went in wanting white because I never wear it and told my fiancé it was gonna be the 1st time he ever sees my wearing it......surprise! My dress isn't white, it's ivory and rose gold.

I don't wanna risk posting it because my fiancé is also reaching out to vendors here so it makes it hard to share with you all.

So I now have to figure out what color works best for bridesmaid dresses, the original plan was to do lilac/lavender - pretty much a vibrant but lighter purple for the bridesmaids and a lighter blue (not baby blue) for the groomsmen. Is lilac/lavender a good color to pair with rose gold/ivory? I don't want anything too close to my own dress color and I'm open to suggestions! TIA!

I think those colors you picked out should still be fine. I wouldn’t worry about “coordinating” with the wedding party as the bride and groom are technically supposed to stand out from them.

Now if your dress was black or red, mayyyyyyybe I might say that will look a little funky with lilac and light blue, but since it’s not, I think everything will look fine.

I think those would look great together! You could even work in florals in a shade similar to rose gold for the bridesmaid bouquets/ groomsmen boutonnieres if you wanted to sort of tie everything together.
