What color groomsmen suits will coordinate with navy blue?

I am struggling picking out a coordinating color for the groom and groomsmen suits. The bridesmaids dresses are a very dark navy blue, more like midnight/indigo blue. I originally wanted the girls to wear slate blue and the groomsmen to wear navy blue suits. Since there was a change of plans I’m starting to think the guys should wear grey suits and the the groom can wear a darker grey to stand out a little. The flowers will be white with greenery and the ceremony will be outdoors starting at 6pm. I’m not that huge of a fan of light grey suits but I’m not sure if a charcoal grey will clash too much with the dresses. Also, what can the groom wear to stand out a little. Should he wear a different color or just add a vest? Please help!

Grey will definitely go best and if you're not a fan of light grey, you should be able to find a shade that's between charcoal and light grey! Jos. A Bank and Men's Wearhouse both have a a pretty good color variety. And your FH can also wear a blue suit to complement - that's what we're doing. Bridesmaids are in either dusty blue or dark blue, the groomsmen are in dark grey and my FH is in a dark blue (not navy, but not regular blue). I hope this helps!

Hi Jasmine! I've attached some photos that I found to give you an example of what a grey suit would look like with navy blue dresses! I also found a picture of the guys with the groom in a darker shade of grey! I personally think the colors would look great together!

My brother's wedding colors were navy, rose gold, and charcoal. The bridesmaids (I was MOH) wore navy dresses and the groomsmen wore charcoal suits. I liked the combination of the navy and charcoal. My brother wore the same color suit as the groomsmen, but he wore a different color vest and tie to stand out. My husband wore a different color vest and tie for our wedding as well. Personally I am not a fan of different color suits.

My husband and his men all wore the same suit, but he had a different color tie, and slightly different accents on his boutonnière. I think grey is your best bet!

The groomsmen in our wedding will be wearing dark grey, while my FH wears light grey, all with navy/marine blue ties and pocket squares.

Our colors are red and charcoal with a hint of cream. We just ordered my fiancé’s suit & I asked the gentleman how he can stand out. The material will all be the same in charcoal & everyone wearing a vest but only he will be wearing a jacket & vest. Fiancé & best man will be wearing burgundy ties with matching pocket squares. Other 2 groomsmen will wear their vests with red ties & matching pocket squares. The ties & pocket squares match the dresses of my bridesmaids.

I think a different boutonnière is a good idea. He said he would like to wear vest, so I think he could wear one and the groomsmen won’t.
