Im confused should he wear white like the groom or champagne like the groomsmen? Or does it even matter?

Typically the ring bearer matches the groomsmen, though you can do whatever you want! The flower girl's dress often keys off of a bridal style rather than bridesmaids, so having a ring bearer match the groom would make sense along those lines.
