What color chargers?

Kristen, on February 13, 2018 at 7:30 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 14
We are having a buffet dinner, but I want charger plates and silverware at the tables already to complete the table setting. Our tablecloths are navy and I have my heart set on rose gold cutlery. I would love rose gold chargers as well but they might be out of our price range. So my question is, would silver or gold chargers look better with rose gold cutlery? The napkins are a dusty rose color.

It’s going to depend on the vibe you want. Both will go but gold will make your color scheme “warm” while silver will make it “cool.”

I could have phrased that better. It’s totally personal preference. Gold will give more of a vintagey feel in my opinion, while silver will be more modern. Do you have silver or gold accents anywhere else?

This is not for everyone so if you hate it I completely understand. I really wanted chargers because the plates will be at the buffet line and the tables will look kind of empty. So my solution was this etsy website. I ordered metallic 12 inch doilies for the tables, the etsy page I ordered from is below. I got them in the mail a few days ago and I think they are really nice quality. I think that gold would go with the rose gold silverware, the etsy website cam actually make a custom color for you if you would like.

No. We've used navy, dusty rose, rose gold, and ivory every where else. I wanted to avoid white or ivory chargers because the plates are white and I feel it would be kind of pointless. That's why the rose gold chargers are my first choice, but I need 150 of them and I can't find that for less than $230 which is more than I want to spend.

IMO rose gold and gold clash horribly. I would do silver or clear glass, or white chargers.

I've seen tutorials on spray painting chargers - can you DIY them rose gold?
