What bouquets have you done for the flower girls?

The Sealpups, on July 3, 2019 at 4:06 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 5

We have two 3 year olds as our flower girls. I was thinking of having them hold flower balls but I feel like that's common in our families/area. The basket of flowers may work too but I don't want to worry about cleaning up after our ceremony (we our getting married in church and have 3 hours max the day of. 1 hour would be the first look, 2nd hour is the ceremony, 3rd hour would be for more pictures).

We also are doing a surprise and having our grandmothers are "flower queens". They're just very excited we're getting married (it's been years) and to our surprise, they were so touched when we asked them to walk down the aisle with us! I was thinking of maybe giving them flower balls?

OR

little girls with flower girls and grandma with a small bouquet? or pageant - style bouquet?

Any recommendations? Thanks!

Our venue charges a $150 fee to pick up any missed flower petals, so we’re actually having our flower girl carry a handmade flower ball with a small bubble machine hidden inside, so it can blow bubbles instead of having to pay for petal clean up.

I've heard of flower girls carrying a basket of flowers and passing them out to people in the aisle seats. They could carry flower hoops, or mini bouquets!

I’m doing flower girl wants. The wands have 1x rose purple rose each, w/ baby breath & ribbons - and were only $15 each.

Hey there!! I absolutely love hearing about couples involving their grandparents in their wedding ceremony like this!! It must be so special the couples and their grandparents! I’m sure your grandmothers are thrilled!! I personally think that bouquets would work perfectly for them.

As for your flower girls, there are plenty of alternatives to throwing petals. I think balloons are a really cute option, especially since the girls are so young. If your wedding ceremony is being held outside, some pretty sun parasols could look great too! Some other options I think could work are ribbon wands for them to wave, a little sign saying something like ‘Here comes the bride!’, bubbles to blow or even just cute little purses!

We're doing silk flower petals, but our venue didn't mind. It sounds like that may not be an option in a church.

What about small bouquets of baby's breath or carnations?
