What are your bridal party gifts?

And how did you ask them? I’m at the stage where I’ve been trying to piece it all together but I can’t make up my mind. I don’t know why it’s so hard for me, but I’d love to hear what you all did as some inspiration!

I kind of did some typical stuff. Got them a bridesmaid tote bag, a compact mirror, lotion and face masks, bridesmaid theme socks, a bow knot necklace and bracelet and hair ties and they all say thanks for helping me tie the knot. Also got them bride tribe tshirts and a hangover kit but those I have at my bachelorette. For my shower I have them bath salts - from my shower to yours. And I gave em gift cards to their fave stores at each round of gifts.

I bought scratch off cards on Etsy to ask them and also gave them a small box of personal gifts. For the day of gifts I have not really decided but I have bought them all really pretty metal water bottles. I’ll probably make them each a personalize bag that includes items to use that day. For example a getting ready robe, jewelry, a little emergency kit, tissues, etc. However I also plan to get them a gift that they would enjoy that isn’t wedding related.

Hey Samantha! You could definitely add some small gifts into a proposal box for your bridal party. THey do not have to be big or expensive gifts as it is just a token to show them that you would love them to be involved in your wedding. If you wish, you could write a heartfelt letter or card also to explain what they mean to you and why you chose them.

I asked my bridesmaids with candles that said "will you be my bridesmaid?" It was cute, they appreciated it!

If your wedding is in Dec 2021, I would wait longer before asking anyone to be bridesmaids. A lot of brides that ask early end up having a terrible bridal party experience due to drifting from some of the people they asked, and because they aren't close anymore the bridesmaids don't want to spend money on their dress or be involved in any pre-wedding festivities. I had a 3.5 year engagement and I waited until 13 months before our wedding to ask anyone. I'm really glad I did because I drifted from 3 girls I originally thought to ask and got super close with friends that were more like acquaintances when I first got engaged.

I texted them privately with an estimate for cost & date, so they could tell me if it was going to be okay for them to do. Then I sent formal proposal boxes with a jewelry box, nail polish, hair ties that said "to have and to hold your hair back" and a liquor shooter!
