My FH and I are planning to take pictures with our guests when they arrive for cocktail hour. Traditionally in our families, the bride and groom go around each table during dinner to take pictures or when each table is called for the buffet, they guests will take pictures with the bride/groom. We want to eat dinner with everyone so we decided to it during cocktail hour. We have a great view of the water. That is our first station. (PS: BOTH our families are picture obsessed.)
We will have a bar (of course), appetizers will be passed, and a live jazz combo. While this is going on, we have these stations:
A. Selfie picture - we created copper stand so people can take pics with everyone (with props). Debating if I should add my polaroid and add these instructions:
"Shake it like a polaroid pic:
1. Strike a pose
2. Take pic with polaroid
3. Take pics with your phone (be sure to use our hashtag or send it to us)
4. Leave polaroid in the basket"
B. Postcards "leave a message"
For the bridal shower, we had a painted mailbox to add our gifts. We were thinking of doing postcards and have people leaving notes on it and adding it inside the mailbox. We'd compile and it put it on our "adventure book"
C. Video booth - iPad with mount on table that asks guests to leave a message or say whatever they want to us. I'm anticipating that this will be used later in the night too when everyone is drunk
DISPLAY TABLES:
D. Generation Table (inside) - wedding pics from our parents, grandparents, etc...
E. Newlywed picture table - a pic of us, with a framed "thank you" message, with our "advice book" - people to fill out silly questions about us - Ex: what do you love most about him/her? What will our kids' names be? We understand that no one will want to fill this all out, so we'll have this available for everyone at our rehearsal dinner too. Gifts and Cards will be placed here.
THOUGHTS? This should be a good amount of stuff, right?
EDIT: We're thinking of cutting the mailbox idea
