Hi WW,

We are having around 5-10 kids attending the wedding. The ages range from 2 1/2 to 10. I want to do activity bags as a little something extra.

I was thinking of putting the following in the bag:

Coloring book & crayons

Bubbles

For the girls a make your own tiara/crown DIY kit & a DIY bracelet kit

For the boys I'd like to add some type of craft/DIY too but I'm lost for ideas... What do you think? I was thinking maybe a little lego set?

Anyone else doing something similar?

What are you putting in yours? Any other suggestions?

Annies have some good options for kid friendly snacks that are gluten free.

We're having a boatload of kids. I'm curious as to what age people are cutting off the kid bags. Some kids have older tween and teen siblings, so I'm not sure if I should give them a standard adult favor or a bag of goodies more suited to their ages.

Yeah Annie's is a great idea! I love their Mac and cheese. I'm a sucker for bunny shaped things

It really is knowing the crowd of kids. 2 kids coming have ADHD, do I expect them to sit quietly through a boring 20 minute ceremony? No. But giving them other options might get them through and make people's day a little easier.

All kids will get glow sticks. the older kids will get an iSpy sheet, the younger ones (3 & 5) will get a coloring book with a few crayons and finger puppets

    @kels me too!

@ Rachel I'm cutting mine off at 12. But I would consider is you have a family that has a 12 and 13 year old, you go to 13 years. I dont expect the oldest to just eat gold fish but i know she is a picky eater and will probaly not eat much anyways.

Why on earth are you segregating the activities by gender? Most of the girls I know would be disgusted to get a junky tiara while the boys got an actual activity/toy. Just give them both Legos or Lincoln Logs or glow sticks.

@Emily : This goes back to my crowd. The boys that are coming are age 2-3. The girls that are coming are age 5, 7 & 8 and are into jewelry and arts/crafts. All three of the girls happen to do competitive dance and cheer. It's just their personal hobbies and tastes...

Has nothing to do with the gender box. Just trying to get them things that they will enjoy.

My venue coordinator puts together an awesome activity box for kids, so we're letting her do it. She has legos, lincoln logs, coloring books, playdoh. If we have extra time/money, we'll put together a small wedding-themed coloring book for the kids.

When I was a kid, I went to some weddings. I did everything the adults did, except drink alcohol of course and I had a blast. That being said, I don't feel the need to entertain my guest's children any more than providing the same entertainment as everyone else.

    Yep.

I could just get glow bracelet & necklaces for everyone too and call it a day. I guess I just wanted to do something thoughtful and nice for the kids.

I just got crayons and will print pics that they can color. Glow sticks and temporary tattoos.
