I saw a caricature. I didn’t get the chance to participate. The line was always very long.

A few weeks after my wedding, my venue posted photos on Facebook of a wedding where they had a caricature artist. I thought it looked really neat and different from the standard photo booth.

I loved the idea. However, the line moved very slowly and some guest spent a ton of the reception waiting. I guess depending on the crowd size more than one is needed.

I love the idea as well. I have never been to a wedding with one though, but I can definitely see needing more than one artist. Our photo booth was insanely popular, but photo booths are way quicker than someone drawing.

Very true. My fiancé would like to have a photo booth. Our venue doesn’t have the space for it. I think we have decided to get a Polaroid camera. This way people can take pictures and leave a little message for a sign in book.

We did something similar for my bridal shower. My sister-in-law (bridesmaid) took the photos on her phone and each person wrote in the book. They signed their name so I knew who wrote the message and she could match the photo once she had them printed. My shower was over a year ago and she still hasn't given me the book. She is pregnant so it might be her pregnancy brain that has made her forget to give me the book.

I arranged for a surprise appearance by G-Wiz, the official mascot of the Washington Wizards NBA team at my daughter's reception. Both she and her husband are big fans and it was a most amazing surprise! He danced with a lot of the guests, took pictures with anyone who wanted them all over the room and brought some giveaways for the guests. He also brought an autographed mini basketball for my daughter and her husband. It was something to remember!
