What are the best apps for guests sharing pics?

N, on August 5, 2019 at 3:56 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

I was just thinking on finding an app where everyone could just upload whatever they were able to take as well as be able to look at what other guests took especially if you don't want to have EVERYTHING on social media? My friends had WedPics three years ago, but I guess that is no longer a thing? I want to see what other people take as well so I can have a bit of instant gratification. Anyone have suggestions?

We just used Facebook. Everyone tagged us so we saved them and made a huge album. I added collaborators so they could add pictures too (several bridesmaids added a lot of pictures). We had welcome bags with personalized pamphlets asking guests to send us all the pictures they took too!

I saw Wedpics in that list, but it is not coming up for me in the app store. I have an iphone, maybe that's my issue...hmm.

Thank you for that list though

My issue is that I don't want a huge dump of photos on facebook and not all of my family uses or can use it. Your welcome bags sound cute.

You could always delete pictures, or just have people submit them to a drop box or something?

Of the ones we were looking at before our wedding, this was the most promising: https://www.theknot.com/photo-sharing-app/

We ended up not using a specific app since, personally, we wouldn't download anything if we were guests attending a wedding. I will admit to scouring social media the day after to download all the photos I could find and consolidating them in a Google Photos album for myself.

I guess so, but I still want this to be as simple as possible. Some of them are really not tech savvy or into getting a fb. All people would have to do is download an app instead of making a fb profile. I also don't want to be tagged a million times on there. I'm looking into an app called The Guest for now. Thanks for the dropbox idea though.

    Hi there,

There's actually an app from here that I think I may use. Check it out in your app store.

My one regret with the Guest app is that I didn't test it out prior to my wedding, so didn't really promote it to my guests prior to the wedding. Only my MOH and I had it downloaded, and I actually forgot that it was running in the background, haha! I love that it automatically uploaded our pics fron the wedding, and afterwards when I had my family download the app to upload theirs, the app automatically uploaded their pics from the time of the wedding 5-10:30). It was super convenient and I def recommend it, just as long as you let people know it's ab option! Not everyone will wabt to download it, but for those that do, it's super easy, and it's nice having pics in one place.
