What are peoples taughts on cakestands

I think that's a good idea to use something like this piece if you're having a rustic themed wedding. Personally, I'm not a fan of cake stands and was told by our baker that, since our cake was a very tall 3 tiered cake, that having a cake stand would make it difficult to cut b/c the cake could wobble around. We just had our cake sitting on a high table that could be used for a cocktail hour. Sorry for the photo, my friend took it at an angle, lol.

Thanks for the advice that was a friends wedding cakestand it was out for the wedding and pictures then after the bride and groom cut it they took tiers off and cut it up ..nice cake by the way very impressive
