What are people doing about a purse?

Jenny, on March 5, 2017 at 10:06 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 14

I can't survive without chapstick but not sure if that's the only reason to have a purse the day of the wedding. What are others doing with the purse situation? Using or not using?

I will be using a clutch. I'm planning on stashing it during the ceremony, and keeping it at our sweetheart table during the reception. I will be keeping my phone, lip stuff, and my glasses in it.

I had a small pouch at our sweetheart table with some essentials (chapstick being one of them). I didn't touch that bag again until we left. Didn't have time to even check my makeup or apply some balm.

    MY DRESS HAS POCKETS!

(Sorry, I'm so excited about this detail that the caps are necessary.)

I don't want to worry about carrying around a purse or clutch. I will honestly leave my phone in my hotel room. ( in same hotel that our reception is in). If I bring some lipstick to reapply I probably will have my wedding planner hold onto it.

My dress had pockets. I also considered having a small bag or tote at the sweetheart table for incidentals but totally forgot about it.

My dress has pockets and I'm in love with them. Can't live without my lip balm.

My grandma is making what she calls a "money bag". it's just a small draw string bag that can be used like a wristlet. She made one for my prom and it was perfect all night.

I have a really small clutch, that was my grandmothers. It's doubling as my "something old"

I'm probably gonna just leave my necessities with my mom or a bridesmaid who has a clutch. Smiley smile

I was worried about this until I found the lipstick I am wearing. It feels great and is transfer proof. Nordstrom had free makeovers so I went to find the best wedding day lipstick, this one fit the bill, It's made by Chanel http://www.chanel.com/en_US/fragrance-beauty/makeup-lipstick-rouge-double-intensite-88831
