What are good themes for Fall catering?

(I'll preface this with I'm more adept at bar flavors than food) September is interesting as it's not deep fall! Would it still be warm, or chilly where you are? If you decline the fall flavors of apple, pumpkin, and warm-sweaters, you could try late summer fruit with hints of grape, cherry, watermelon, passionfruit, and fig. You can go botanical or herbal with lavender, rosemary, and thyme. There are many variations of squash from butternut to a sweet kobucha (cheesecake?). Are there any flavors you see now that you can imagine a year from now? This is a fun post. Best wishes.

Eggplants are in season, how about an eggplant parm or a dip made with eggplant, BaBa Ganoush? Dip veggies or pita bread wedges into it, super yummy and nutritious!
Oysters are in season this year too. We had raw oysters at our Wedding but they are super good fried as well! A bit pricey but it’s a nice surprise fir your guests, provided they like them. Food is such a personal thing.

What foods do you enjoy? What do you want to serve? Outside of Thanksgiving dinner or soups instead of salads, I don’t think you need to match the food to the season.
